American Girl knitted beret

This will be for my 8yo niece for Christmas.  Whew... that was tough with eency knitting needles!  Next... I'll attempt a pair of fingerless gloves to match.

Knitted drawstring bag

I'm NOT good at knitting yet... so please don't be too critical LOL

 

 The strap is fastened to the sides, I just sewed it to the bag all the way down.  The strap is a 3-strand 4-ply braid.

The drawstring is a single-ply 4-strand braid with a locking-barrel fastener.  I LOVE these things!!!  I knotted the drawstring after I got it threaded through the locking-barrel so it can't slip off on accident.

It's NOT for Sophie... but she's modeling it so you can get an idea of the size of both the bag and the strap :)
