A hat and 3 skirts

The hat was made because Sophie wanted something to throw on so she wouldn't have to do her hair if she didn't want to! LOL  The skirts were made for a friend. She mailed me the fabrics and I sewed 'em up :)

Sophie's Halloween costume

Sophie wanted to be Robin Hood from the show Once Upon A Time.  She LOVES it!!!  When she looked in the mirror she said "I look like a movie character!!!"  Just the reaction a seamstress wants... :)
I made the blouse, vest and cloak. Not the pants and boots... LOL  I also made a cowl because the character's hood is actually attached to a cowl but we forgot about it for the pictures. oops... LOL We bought the pants and boots special for the costume but of course she'll wear them all winter as well.
Oh my goodness! I just realized she forgot to put on the brown fingerless gloves I knit her as well for the pics! oops...

Christian turns 17yo!!! AND goes to a 'building' school

Where does the time go? I wonder this every year...

 Boxers and Saints graphic novels.

 Fairy tales in Spanish. Camcorder.

Ergo card game. C++ graphics how-to book.
Harry Potter #1 in Spanish. And I knitted him a hat.

Just before taking this picture on Christian's first day of going to Victory Christian Academy he was nodding off... it was a hard first day... Well, not 'hard' but he didn't sleep very well the night before and he's not used to getting up early, and he's not used to noise all day long. But he loves it and is so happy he made the decison!!!  Super excited for this new opportunity for him!!!!!!

Grace's Halloween Costume

My niece LOVES "Once Upon a Time".  She asked for the cloak for her birthday in May, and now for Halloween she asked for the costume under the cloak.  She is the character "Ruby" (aka Little Red Riding Hood).  The look on her face when she looked in the full-length mirror was priceless!!!!  Worth all the trouble of making it. Not that it WAS trouble... You all know how much I love to make cute things and how sad I am my own daughter doesn't want any of it... LOL!  Tho, I'll be adding a post with her costume once it's done. She's going to be *yawn* Robin Hood...

Impossible to tell in these photos but the hood's lining fabric is the same as the skirt fabric :)  I didn't know back in May that I'd be making a skirt but I happened to have a bunch of this fabric.  The blouse is muslin. That I did have to buy.  And, I had the fabric for the  vest laying around too :) As well as the ribbon.
