Mother's Day 2013

We went for lunch at La Cabaña after church.  The whole family was there except grampa.  After that we went to Talltree Arboretum.  What fun!  All kinds of walking trails with beautiful plantings!!  We got a year membership, so we'll definitely be back!

 All my parents' grandkids, ages: 23, 15, 13, 12, 12, 17, 10, 8, 5, 2, 2mo.

 The Arboretum has a VERY cool train set!  Wow, this thing is awesome!  It's a HUGE diaroma!

Hamalot

Sophie's end-of-semester performance at theater class.  It was hilarious!!!  Wish I videoed it instead of pictures! LOL  But, pictures will have to do...  She was Lady Patience, Lady in Waiting to the Princess.  She spend her time keeping score of the Princess' game of solitaire and doing her needlework.  Sorry for the horrible darkness, but that room is dark and I don't have a great camera.

Christian has earned the Mitchel Award!!!!!!

CHRISTIAN EARNED THE MITCHEL AWARD TONIGHT!!!! YES, I AM SHOUTING!!!! This is the award in Civil Air Patrol that earns him entry into the military as an E3 instead of E1. It's sort of the Boy Scout equivalent of the Eagle. This is the 10th award, and there are only 3 left, which are much harder to earn of course. I'm sooo proud of 2nd Lt. Burns!!!! Now he can also earn scholarships from CAP, along with a buncha other perks. His ultimate goal is the International Cadet Exchange Program.
