Update on my poor garden

The poor cabbage,
it's getting eaten alive!!

The lettuce is being drowned.
Storm after storm after storm.
I step in the garden and it squishes here.

The tomatoes look good tho.
No tomatoes yet, just flowers.

The parsley looks good tho!

Here's my garlic chive.
The purple flowers are drying up.

The yellow banana peppers are
doing VERY well!!  I have several.

FRIDAY!!!!

Jake's finally going to sub training in Groton, CT on FRIDAY!!!!
(well, I know nothing is for sure in the military until you're actually doing it, but he's packing and says his plane ticket will be issued Thursday)

Sub training is 2 months.  Then, he'll finally know where he'll be stationed.

Violin/Piano "Concert" video and some random pics

Click here for the video of the violin/piano concert
In Christian's defense, I added that last song last second and he didn't get out his music.  He flubbed... OOPS! LOL!!  Next time I'll have him grab his music if I decide to add things to a video.

Doncha love it when 12yo boys still play with toys!

Garden update-pics taken 6/12

The Simpson lettuce is looking good, but the Arugula never took, even after the 2nd planting after the washout.

What you see littered everywhere is grass clippings.  We have found that gardens LOVE grass clippings!
This is budding of the yellow banana peppers.

Darn those rabbits!!!  These peas were LOTS taller the day before!!
This is cabbage.

3yo grape vines.

It's about to storm, so of course now is the time for a watergun fight

Look at that dark sky!!

Who cares, they want to have a water fight!

Oops, Sophie tripped backward over the slide running away

Well, that didn't last long... lightening sent them scurrying back inside

Christain went to Chicago today with a friend.

They went on a FREE day to the Museum of Science and Industry.  They took the South Shore train up.  It was friend, friend's dad, friend's 2 brothers and the brothers also got to each bring a friend.  So, 7 guys loose at the museum with no female to make sure they were behaving. LOL!

I WAS going to post pictures.  He took the camera with him.

However, apparently he doesn't know how to use it cuz there were NO pictures on the camera when I went to download them! LOL!!

So, he's home safe but with no evidence that he ever went.

Chicago trip!!!! AG store for lunch & Lego store!!

On the South Shore train to Chicago.
It was in celebration of my niece's 8th birthday.

Peering in at the CUTE display!!!!

Under the sign.

Sharing the appetizer cinnamon roll with Molly.

It's so cute in that cafè!
This year my niece's birthday doll selection was Kaya.

After having already eaten the cinnamon roll and another appetizer plate of: carrot, celery, cheese, strawberry, cheese pretzel she had sun-dried tomato chicken pasta.  It was YUMMY!  Whole wheat pasta with mushrooms, broccoli, chicken, tomatoes and parmesan, and also a bread stick.  She could only get through 1/2 of it! LOL

Then dessert!!!  A 'flower pot' of chocolate mousse, a butterfly cookie and a flower cake. She managed to eat all of her dessert! LOL

Cousins and dolls :)

Lego store obviously.  Yup, a lifesized Lego Woody.

Lego Darth Vader.

Lego city being taken over by a dinosaur.

Christian didn't come, but Sophie made me buy him a Lego assortment.  It's a 'fill up the cup for a certain price.'  You choose what you want from a couple dozen bins of assorted pieces.
I forgot to take pics of the girls all tired on the way home.  Oops! LOL  But, they had a blast.
