From PenPal, Christmas 2011

Eventhough our penpals were sooooo busy this year!!! they were still thoughtful enough to send us Christmas presents.
Trango game, Adams Cube and levels 2, 3, and 4 of a·ha! brainteasers from "Thinkfun"

She also sent Carcassonne game which I forgot to get into the picture.  It's a medieval stratagy game.

Thankx sooooo much Kris, Loralai and Kyler!!!

Both kids, Christmas 2011

These are things both kids got together:
wii games: Oregon Trail, Bigfoot Collision Course and Ghostbusters
DS games: Zorro, Prince of Persia The Fallen King, Civilization Revolution, Rubik's World, and Survivor
Oops! This is Christian's Spy Gear camera, it's supposed to be in Christian's post!
Cards: 2 decks of regular cards (cuz they've both recently started to love solitare) and Pictionary card game
Sweet brother helping Sophie on with her new bracelet
There's a movie in there too, "The Last Star Fighter."  Anyone remember this movie from the '84?
This is obviously Sophie's stocking, but it's representative of what they both got, almonds, sunflower seeds, toothpaste, Santa's Coal gum, Peeps, caramel Santa and chocolate Santa, and they also each got a gift card for Steak-n-Shake.

Sophie, Christmas 2011

Sophie REALLY loves to listen to music, and was sooo excited to get CDs of her favorite bands: Red, Chris August, Mandisa, Matt Kearney, City Harmonic
American Girl Quiz books and 2 other AG books she wanted
"Chrissa," an AG movie, and a Free Willie 4-DVD set in one package
She has been wanting a Lava Lamp soooo badly!
Nearly every year mommy likes to get Sophie books that have her name in the title, and this is a 3-book series: "Sophie * Alias Star Girl"
A friend makes handmade jewlery, and this is a braclet.  She also got matching earrings.
Over and over and over she's been saying how much she wants a table/desk for her bedroom.  This one is foldable for when she's not using it, to keep it out of the way.
Oh yah, and a gift card for Barnes&Noble because she wants to buy a certain book series.
It seems like she gets more than her brother but his Legos cost so much more!  I actually always spend about the same $$ on both kids, but price affects 'how many' things they get. (and I nearly always find things on sale/clearance so I never spend as much as it may seem)
You'll see a homemade 'snuggie' in Christian's shot.  Sophie got one as well, except light blue with snowmen all over it.

Christian, Christmas 2011

Legos Legos and more Legos was the theme this year.

He chose a new Bible (King James Version, Brown Leather with green and orange imprinting, with his name, oops forgot to take a picture of the Bible OUTSIDE of his new Bible case) and I got a black carry case that has tons of zippers, pouches, slots, etc. and a handle and strap.
SpyGear: Laser Tag and a Spy Camera as well that didn't get shot

That green blanket is actually 2 blankets mom sewed together to make a homemade 'snuggie' (sewn so he's got a head hole and 2 arm holes)

Dad, Christmas 2011

Dad REALLY wanted a heated neck massager, and was so happy to get one!!!

 He loves his Stetson
He kept telling his kids how much he wanted an aluminum wallet
#1-3 Pirates of the Carribean movies
The candy was an example of what was in his stocking.  He also had: 2 jars of nuts, chocolate santas, bag of Mint Truffle Kisses, 2 horseradish mustard and jalapeno mustard, and a giftcard for Steak-n-Shake
OOPS! His new set of jammies&slippers didn't make it into the shot.  They're all polar fleece.

Mom, Christmas 2011

Mom got a new robe and new slippers (but the child who took this picture did not get down to her feet... oops!)  They're purple bootie-style slippers

And she got a 16-oz thermos brand insulated cup for taking tea on-the-go
and a stocking filled with candy and tea
There was another gift but it didn't make it here in time for Christmas.  It ended up being an undercabinet CD player, cuz the old one quit working awhile back.
