But we did base an entire menu around Greek foods!!
We ate at my brother's house (payment for my babysitting for them LOL)
What I made is in blue, what my sil made is in red
Dolma: meat/rice stuffed grape leaves
and in the pot on the right has lemon rice pilaf
Being cut is Spanacopita: spinich/feta in flaky pastry crust
Souzoukaklia: spiced beef on skewers and grilled
Greek Salad: mixed greens, Kalamata olives, peperonici, feta, croutons and Greek vinaigrette
pitas, which... *ahem* I bought instead of making homemade
Tzatziki: cucumber sauce
Greek Chicken: cooked with Greek Vinaigrette and then I added a dried tomato tampanad
There are also 2 other tampanads in the black jars there, an olive and a feta
Lemon Cake
Sweet Sesame bread
Brother, sil and 2 nephews
Sophie and 2 nieces
Nephew
Husband
baby nephew :)
Christian and the teen nephew were too cool to hang around with us downstairs, therefore they were already gone by the time I got out the camera for 'eating' pictures
It was sooo yummy! I loved everything!! The kids for the most part loved everything too, only a few icks here and there.

That is so fun! One of my nicer memories is of a Chinese meal that a friend (who had lived in Hong Kong) and I made jointly. Really special memories. I wish we had taken pictures!
I wish I had taken more pictures of our other ethnic meals, but I do plan to this year as we eat our way through Core 5! :)
