Another knit shirt for Sophie

Oh my, again I'll say I don't like working with this stuff!  But, it's what she wanted and if she's going to let me make her something I better make it in stuff she'll wear! LOL  So, this will be more of a 'Sunday' shirt, not play like the others. 

She said she likes it the best of all the shirts I've made her for fit.  I think it's because it has that tie eventho she didn't want the tie (anything close to a 'bow' is on her hate list).    I personally LOVE it on her!!  I was going to make it another tank sleeve but she really wanted short-sleeves. So, I relented.  Maybe THAT is why she likes it best now that I think about it...  Cuz, her favorite style shirt is a regular tshirt.

2 shirts for Sophie

ugh...

She really hates anything that is not a t-shirt so I took her to JoAnn's and had her choose some knits.  She chose 3, but I'm only done with 2 at this point.

I have come to a discovery, I HATE working with knit!  Oh man!  This stuff pulls and stretches and it is NOT fun.  But, I love my daughter so I will continue with the 3rd shirt...  I know, they don't look professional.  Well, they AREN'T! LOL  I am not used to his fabric AT ALL.

More jammies for Sophie

She didn't brush her hair... ignore that... LOL!  Well, after the last jammy set was way too bunched in the front I gathered in front and back evenly instead.  This worked much better.  If you think the fabric looks familiar, it is... it's the contrast fabric on her birthday tote bag :)  There is a seam down the front of her shirt that shouldn't really be there, but I had to seam the fabric in order to have enough! LOL  I just squeaked by, and since it's jammies I didn't worry about it.  She doesn't care.

July 4th dress for 7yo niece

My batteries ran out!  I got a couple shots tho...  I showed her the pattern envelope for the last flowered material dress I made and asked which dress did she want next, she chose this style.  It ties at the back of the neck.  I forgot to adjust the pattern for a 7yo who does NOT need tucks on the bodice... but I adjusted the fabric best as I could as I was sewing. 

 The sun was in her eyes here and I was going to try to get a better back shot, but as I said the batteries ran out! LOL

 Here she was stepping to the spot she wanted to stand, but don't the UNposed usually make the best shots :)
