An American Girl sized tote bag
Since I've never done this before, and my instructional books still aren't here... I had to 'wing-it' on construction. I looked online for videos how to get started knitting. I only used knit and purl stitches, a few rows of each alternating. To put it together I ended up folding it in uneven 3rds in a tote style and crocheted closed the right side upward from the bottom corner, kept crocheting a chain for the handle, then crocheted closed the left side. Then I crocheted 2 small chains; one starting on the flap and the other starting where the flap meets the front for the ties to fasten it with a bow. It's NOT perfect obviously, but hopefully once I get my instruction books I'll actually figure out what I'm doing! LOL

Cool! Looks great!
I just knitted my first hat (and now the second, and have started the third). I really should branch out and learn the purl stitch, but, that might take another 46 years...
